New Zealand conceded the top spot in the ICC T20I rankings after the 2-1 series loss to India, with Pakistan being the direct beneficiary.
New Zealand (120) now have conceded a four-point lead to Pakistan (124). They are slightly ahead on decimal points to occupy second position against the Windies.
Indian team (119) too gained three points, but continued to remain at fifth spot, behind England on decimal points.
With 104 runs in the series,Kohli gained 13 points, thus stretching his lead at the top over Finch, at the second spot, to 40 points. On the back of quick half-centuries in the first T20I, both Indian openers, Rohit Sharma (three places up to 21st) and Shikhar Dhawan (20 places up to 45th) too have been major gainers. Munro, standing high on his second century of the year, moved up four spots to number 12.
Among the bowlers, Sodhi moved up five spots to break into the top 10 for the first time in his career, thanks to five wickets in the series. With a haul of 4 for 34 in Rajkot, Boult too jumped up 14 spots to achieve his career best 16th rank.
