The proceedings of the Spot fixing scandal seem to have been taken a move forward as the Khalid Latif's case decision is set to be annouced today. Earlier, Sharjeel khan and Mohammad Irfan were handed bans and fines in this case.
While Irfan was banned for six months by the tribunal and was fined 10 lac for not being able to inform the ACU of PCB, Sharjeel Khan was banned for five years but was not fined.
Mohammad Irfan's ban is over and is likely to return to the domestic cricket.
Khalid Latif is likely to receive a 10 year ban. The tribunal was not happy with his behaviour and also deemed his attitude "irresponsive". Earlier, Latif had fined a petition in the High Court for disqualify Tauqir Zia, who is the head of tribunal on being partial.Now, he has also filed a petition over the one-sided behaviour of the Tribunal. He is currently not in the city and will not go the court to hear the decision and the proceedings.
