Haris Sohail and Usman Salahuddin are in-line to for their debut against Srilanka later this week. Both have represented Pakistan in shorter format but will be featuring in whites for their country for the first time.

Haris Sohail was a regular for Pakistan in 2014-15 and also set to make his test debut against Srilanka in 2015 but an inury meant a longer wait for him. He has not played for Pakistan after 2015 though he was the part of Champions Trophy squad but didn't get any game.

Usman Salahuddin was given a chance in shorter format way back in 2012 but couldn't deliver to potential but strong first class performances have earned him a spot in the side.

Both the players get a chance in the side after Misbah and Younus hung their boots in May earlier this year. Misbah and Younus have been the backbone of batting line up and held up the 4th and 5th spot for over seven years which meant youngsters had to wait long to make their way into the side.

Haris has played 4 T20s and 22  ODIs for Pakistan while Usman represented Pakistan in 2 ODIs and 7 T20s.
